Senior Information Security Officer

Do you want to play a key role in securing the most widely used online payment method in the Netherlands? Currence iDEAL is looking for a Senior Information Security Officer to join our team.
 

About the Role

As a Senior Information Security Officer, you are in charge of implementing and managing our security strategy. You’ll be responsible for maintaining strong security policies, managing risks, and working closely with our IT suppliers and partners. In addition, you’ll have hands-on involvement in technical security operations, including PKI management, threat hunting, and vulnerability management.

With the upcoming transition to the European Payments Initiative (EPI) and the introduction of Wero, our security standards remain at the highest level. As we evolve, your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our payment infrastructure.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee information security policies and risk management frameworks.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks across a complex supplier landscape.
• Manage Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and ensure its robustness.
• Safeguard our AWS cloud environment with best-in-class security practices.
• Conduct threat hunting to proactively identify and address potential security threats.
• Oversee vulnerability management, including assessments and remediation.
• Implement security tools and technologies to strengthen our security posture.
• Lead training and awareness programmes to embed security best practices across the organisation.
   

What We’re Looking For

• Seven to ten years of experience in security roles.
• A Bachelor’s degree in IT or Security.
• Proficiency in Dutch and English.
• Strong knowledge of cryptography, incident management, and vulnerability management.
• Experience with PKI management and cloud security (AWS preferred).
• Relevant certifications such as CISM, CISSP, or similar.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to independently identify and address security improvements.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to translate technical security challenges into business implications.
